About Us

Since 1908, the skilled and compassionate professionals at Benjamin Rose have supported the aging journeys of adults and those who care for them through the discovery, development and delivery of accessible, centralized programs and services that ensure each person is heard, treated with dignity and positioned for a better tomorrow.

What areas are Benjamin Rose’s services available in?

Most of our services are available primarily to residents of Cuyahoga County, Ohio.

Some of our programs, such as WeCare, SHARE for Dementia, and BRI Care Consultation, are available to individuals across the country. If you’re interested in these services, please contact us to find out if you qualify. If you’re unsure whether you qualify for a specific service based on your location, we encourage you to reach out—we’re happy to help clarify your eligibility.

What ages are eligible for Benjamin Rose’s services?

Eligibility by age varies depending on the service:

  • Margaret Wagner Apartments (MWA): Ages 62 and older
  • Meals on Wheels and Congregate Meals at Rose Centers: Ages 60 and older
  • Behavioral Health Services: Ages 55 and older
  • Senior Companion Program: Ages 55 and older
  • Connecting Our Seniors to Technology (COST): Ages 55 and older
  • Senior Property Tax Loan: Ages 55 and older

Many of our housing services, such as Homebuyer Education and Counseling, are available to individuals of all ages. If you’re unsure whether you qualify for a specific service based on your age, we encourage you to contact us. We’re happy to help you determine your eligibility.

How much does it cost to participate in Benjamin Rose’s services?

Most of our programs are generously funded through grants so that we can offer to them to our clients free of charge. However, the cost for certain services—such as Behavioral Health Services and Social Work—depends on your insurance coverage. If you’re interested in one of these services, please call us. We’ll review your situation and work out the cost details with you during the intake process.

What annual events does Benjamin Rose host?

Benjamin Rose hosts several annual events that celebrate our community, share valuable information, and honor the work being done to support older adults and caregivers:

Caregiving Conference: A full-day conference focused on a timely topic related to dementia care, offering insights and resources for family caregivers and professionals who support individuals with dementia.

Winterlicious: An in-person culinary experience featuring Chef Mario, who prepares five different courses live. Attendees enjoy tasting portions, wine pairings, receive recipes, and have the chance to engage directly with Chef Mario during a Q&A.

TRIUMPH: A celebratory luncheon recognizing the achievements of our clients and community partners, featuring testimonials and stories of impact. The event concludes with a free community fair, open to all.

Katz Policy Lecture: Held in honor of Dr. Sidney Katz, this lecture highlights policy issues and innovations in aging services and long-term care.

Bingo Night: A fundraising bingo event hosted by the Young Professional Council (YPC).
